Myofascial Release is a whole-body approach designed to release the restrictions in the fascial system, increase range of motion, restore overall function, and reduce pain. Myofascial Release assists your body to heal on its own by using a hands-on technique that releases connective tissue adhesions/restrictions.
We specialize in treating the following conditions: Anxiety, back pain, birth injury, carpal tunnel, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic pain, colic, emotional trauma/stress, fibromyalgia, headaches/migraines, menstrual/pelvic pain, movement restrictions, neck pain, neurological dysfunction, plantar fasciitis, PTSD, post surgical/scarring/trauma, spasms/spasticity, sports injury, TBI (traumatic brain injury), TMJ, sports injuries, etc. Treatment focuses on returning your body to its natural, homeostatic state. Home programs/self treatment is taught at your first session.

Tough, three-dimensional web of connective tissue
Runs throughout the body: foot to head, superficial to deep
Continuous, without interruption
Surrounds/interconnects every cell, nerve, organ, blood vessel, bone, muscle,
Supports and separates all systems
Composed of an elastocollagenous complex and ground substance { elastin fibers = tissue memory/elasticity, collagenous fibers = strength/support, and gelatinous ground substance = cellular circulation/cushioning}
* Trauma / inflammation / postural patterns can bind down fascia causing pain, decreased strength and mobility, and structural alignment issues
What Is MFR?
(John Barnes' approach)
Hands-on technique
Gentle, yet firmly sustained pressure into myofascial restrictions (piezoelectricity)
Returning the viscosity of the fascial ground substance to relaxed and fluid
Releases take 5-15+ minutes, making JBMFR approach successful for long lasting effects (home programs given)
